Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. Rotary Clubs participate in community service projects both at home, and around the world, and these are some of the causes that our members are most passionate about.
LOCAL SERVICE
Once described as the “heartbeat of Rotary,” Community Service represents the Club’s effort to improve the quality of life within Santa Barbara County. Rotarians have a long history of making an impact on their local communities. To a large extent, Rotary’s reputation is built on the community service projects undertaken by Rotarians.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the globe. In this area, Rotarians strive for the advancement of international peace and understanding through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideals of Service Above Self. International Service Projects are designed to meet the humanitarian needs of people in many lands.
Our Club joins with other Clubs and local organizations to make positive changes in places far from home. We do more than send funds, many of our Club members have traveled to these locations to do hands on work.
