Dear Fellow Rotarians,
We had a fantastic mayoral forum! Jim Armstrong did a great job organizing and preparing for the event, and I hope everyone who attended found it as informative as myself as we’re trying to determine our next mayor. In addition, I’d like to recognize Marlee King for coordinating our site at the Santa Barbara Club in light of the University Club not being able to accommodate us. In case you missed it, you can find a summary of the candidates views from Kirk Greene in Noozhawk. He’s a former member of our club who now participates at the Sunrise Club and he joined us to write about the event.

We also had the privilege of inducting two new members to our club…Tiffany Whipple and David Blum. Welcome aboard! Please make a point of introducing yourself to them next time you have an opportunity if you haven’t already done so, and we look forward to their participation. A big thank you to the team of Michael Daly, Bob Fatch, and Steve Baker who are doing a tremendous job of recruiting and vetting prospective new members.

Lastly, a reminder that we’ll be having the Rotary Family BBQ at Tucker’s Grove on Thursday, October 29th, from 4-6pm. Steve Milam and the team has organized a fun event that’ll include games, a taco truck and beverages. It’ll be a great opportunity to fellowship with one another in a relaxed setting. A reminder that members are being charged regardless of whether you attend so we encourage you to join us. Spouses and kids are free. Please make a point of registering (including guests) so we have accurate numbers.
Best Regards,
Dan Aldrich
